I hate capris too. They look terrible - doing the opposite of elongating a body. As a woman of only 5'4" it makes me look even shorter and w i d e r.
So many fatties sport them and have no idea. I know that old ladies wear them as an alternative to shorts - capris cover their knees. The worst look is in the winter with boots. Hideous look. Kind of like a pirate costume. Ugh
Did I mention, I also hat ponchos. Thankfully those are gone now.

Capri's should never be worn with heels (Americans), they're a casual piece. A nicely taylored pair however in warmer cultures with some casual shoes are perfect for backpackers and tourists...give them a break.
I hate capri pants so much I'm almost tempted to start a blog about it, so thanks for saving me the work.
And nice hate list: mine is almost identical, except swap "James Joyce" for "Ernest Hemingway" and add "anyone under 30."
I loathe capris, too, only when other people wear them, it makes those of us who don't look that much better. I also hate three-quarter length sleeves, especially in sweaters. If it's cold enough for a sweater, shouldn't it be long-sleeved?
So what do you have against them?
Manpris are an abomination. I used to call them Shorants but the manpris tag is much better. Either wear full length pants or shorts. The mapris just make guys look like ugly cross dressers.
You know what you all love about Capri pants? Look at how hating them has brought you all so close together.
You know...this blog is still quite relevant. Thanks for posting something that really needed to be said. BTW: Capri's on short people (such as myself) should be outlawed. period.
